![]() Like Odysseus marooned on the beach of Ogygia, he landed on the shore of the day, begrudgingly and dazed, with for sole companion the dread of having been tossed once again away from his true home. Unfortunately for John, his own aphotic sibylline moment was irremediably butchered by the morning alarm. So much the night reveals that is concealed in the glare of the day. “Theirs is the responsibility, then, for deciding if they want merely to live, or intend to make just the extra effort required for fulfilling, even on their refractory planet, the essential function of the universe, which is a machine for the making of gods.” “You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame how could you rise anew if you have not first become ashes!” ![]() The higher that capping power, the more competitively viable it could be.Story is entirely true, for I imagined it from one end to the other.” Just to help the Endy in its defensive role: holding an objective. Like the single turret idea would be maybe half as much capping power as the Endy itself, or less even, and a multiple turret loadout would have even less individual capping power or maybe 3 turrets should be exactly the same capping power as the Endy. Perhaps another cool idea would be if the turrets themselves have a small amount of capping power. The less turrets can be made, the easier it is to balance the ship.Įndy would probably also be fine if it had a single turret sitting at 30-40sec cd with about as much damage and health as the Endy itself. Turrets, and for that matter the buoys from all other ships in the game, should stay even if the mother ship dies. I think the Endeavour should have less turrets at once (maybe max 2 instead of 3), with much less cooldown for its turrets. What also doesn't help the Endeavour is that it is a light ship with no escape mechanism (with the exception of crafty use of gravity wells) and that all its turrets die when the Endy dies, so what's the point? It also sits on a relatively low cooldown. Overwatch also has a character with a turret that can be pretty potent if left unattanted, but unlike the Endy, the Overwatch character has only a single turret that needs to be repaired in order to be upgraded to lvl 2, which is where it actually does significant damage. turrets that move with the ship would also be an awesome idea, dealing with the fact that inaccurate but powerful attackers such as the destroyer and interceptor have a too-easy time with the turrets. now it is overperforming and takes too little skill to use.Įndeavor needs some changes- not necessarily buffs or nerfs, such as more consistent turret placement, or an option to have extremely tough turrets at the expense of damage. drain interrupt, and drain missile loadout.Ĭolossus is like what you said about endeavor- it was never meant for competitive play. it used to be good but the pds update gave away it's advantage as a "give me you energy or die" playstyle with it's missile barrages. The black widow sucks right now and is really not a viable ship in competitive play, like the endeavor, and is average in regular play. The paragon is an amazing ship but has trouble with bomber wayfinding and the new fighter system. ![]() Well true, but imo those ships listed above need tweaking too except for the aegis. Which is fine, because it's not possible for every ship to be ultra competitive anyway. Like the Paragon (drones), Black Widow (missiles), Colossus (AOE), and Aegis (shields), the best case scenario is that it becomes a fun ship aimed at new players but not very competitive at the highest level. It's a flawed ship to begin with because its signature weaponry is binary and actively cuts down on the aiming the ship has to do. ![]() Originally posted by Rook:I think the opposite.
